Every Barangay’s
in Sto. Domingo has different customs and traditions, many of them have
fiestas, and some Barangay already have festivals. At our Barangay in which is
the Buhatan, Sto. Domingo, Albay, we are proud to introduce “KWAW FESTIVAL” – a unique festival of Sto. Domingo.
It is already recognized by our beloved
Mayor Herbie Aguas and other municipal
councils and it is already known not just in the entire Sto. Domingo but also
in the other Municipalities of the First District and the Second District. We
are so overwhelmed that many people visited to celebrate with us celebrate with
us.
KWAW FESTIVAL is celebrated in the
whole month of March. It is celebrated to give thanks and honor to our Almighty
Father for the abundant blessing comes from the sea.
In the closing day at the morning we
are having a parade from the Buhatan Elementary (BES) Drum and Lyre Corps. Food
fest of different kwaw recipes created and made by the magical hand of
Buhatenios. And also the most awaiting Buddle Fight from zone-1 to zone-3 and
the “Buhatan Got Talent”.
Our captain Melba B. Balea invited other Barangay in the Municipalities of Sto. Domingo as well as Tabaco, Naga, Malinao, Bacacay and the Municipality of Legazpi to join the said event. . This is BEST OF BUHATAN.
